Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Production Supervisor in the San Leandro, CA area. This role requires openness to shift work and strong leadership in a manufacturing setting.

You will supervise daily production operations, enforce GMP and food-safety standards, lead training and performance evaluations, manage inventory, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, EPA and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations and ensure GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards are met.
• Lead, coach, and support production employees with training, performance evaluations, and development opportunities.
• Monitor product quality, enforce standards, and implement corrective actions for quality concerns.
• Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, conduct audits, and coordinate with supply chain to optimize stock levels.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency, productivity, and reduce waste.
• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support goals and resolve challenges.
• Investigate and resolve production issues promptly and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, EPA, and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment upkeep to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and communicate KPIs to management.
• Provide clear operational updates and priorities to staff and leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production operations and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety requirements, and sanitation standards.
• Lead, coach, and support production employees by providing training, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and ongoing development opportunities.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, enforce quality standards, and implement corrective actions to address quality concerns.
• Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, conduct audits, and partner with supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, enhance productivity, and reduce waste.
• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting training, and ensuring adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support operational goals and resolve production challenges.
• Investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner while implementing preventive measures to minimize recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, EPA, and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance activities and work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize production performance.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, records, and reports, and communicate key performance metrics to management.
• Effectively communicate operational updates, priorities, and issues to employees and leadership to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
