Job summary

Vantage Elevation is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Sacramento facility. You will oversee 20–25 hourly staff across multiple departments, ensuring safety, quality, and timely production through coaching and continuous improvement.

The role partners with Engineering and Production Management to drive efficiency, implement standard work, and meet weekly targets.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Management, or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of operational or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and employee development skills.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, standardized work procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce safety, quality, and workplace standards in a unionized or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily production operations across 8-10 hour shifts to meet production schedules and business objectives.
• Supervising and directing up to 20-25 hourly employees across multiple departments.
• Maintaining a visible presence on the production floor to monitor productivity, coach employees, and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Conducting regular performance discussions and providing ongoing feedback to support employee development.
• Planning and executing weekly production targets while ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
• Analyzing operational processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements to increase efficiency.
• Tracking quality and delivery issues and implementing timely corrective actions.
• Supporting engineering projects, new product introductions, and plant improvement initiatives.
• Establishing and enforcing safety rules, PPE requirements, plant policies, and union agreements.
• Championing 5S practices and maintaining an organized, safe, and productive work environment.
• Working closely with the Production Manager and cross-functional teams at our Sacramento manufacturing facility.
