Job summary

Woodbridge Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee line operations, develop safe and efficient procedures, and drive process improvements. The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and strong leadership to meet daily production while upholding quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business and 3–5 years in manufacturing, with experience in quality requirements, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
  • Strong supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of quality requirements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Root cause analysis, and SPC.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and ensure good Health, Safety & Environment practices are followed
  • Ensure customer quality standards are adhered to and related issues are responded to in a timely manner
  • Meet daily production demands while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Effectively manage workforce including training, coaching and discipline
  • Monitor and respond to day-to-day product and process concerns and ensure just in time delivery
  • Work closely with other departments in problem solving issues
  • Decision-making and problem solving of any technical or scheduling issues arising during the shift
  • Strong commitment in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Maintain and improve OEE, being able to take action based on data.
  • Evaluates employee performance and employee discipline.
  • Has knowledge of HS&E issues and employment requirements.
  • Ensures employee cross training with the use of TWI Methodology.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Promotes teamwork & cooperation through the use of Lean tools, WPS, TWI, Book Club, 5S, TPM, etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Role Purpose:

Supervise employees in the operation of the line.Develop procedures for efficient and safe operations.Understand and implement improvements to process.

Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.The duties of the Production Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following:

Qualifications

  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Record of proactive supervisory accomplishments
  • Solid understanding of quality requirements
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Strong people skills including communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HSE, and manpower planning
  • Able to work weekends and off-shifts
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement,5S, and Kaizen, Root cause analysis, Problem solving methodology, and SPC
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully plan, coordinate and direct the activities of the production control function, which includes the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the systems and procedures associated with the functional area.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least (4) years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills required. Requires speaking, reading and writing skills in English. Effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Standard work hours will consist of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week on an assigned shift. Schedule hours maybe altered as required by the training needs of employees. Production, management and customer needs may also necessitate a reduced (less than 40 hour) work week.
  • Ability to work overtime or irregular hours to include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays as requested.
  • The Production Supervisor’s position is a salaried non-exempt position, as such; this employee is entitled to overtime pay.
