Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team in a unique manufacturing environment devoted to transforming used medical devices into safe, high-quality products for healthcare providers. You will ensure timely production, maintain inventory integrity and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires at least 2 years in production with leadership experience, familiarity with Lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen, and experience with SAP/Catalyst.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred to have SAP and Catalyst exposure.
  • 2+ years of production experience and prior supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean tools: 5S, standard work, visual management, Kaizen, waste reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate product processing to ensure on-time completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles to reduce waste and improve flow.
  • Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy and productivity; take corrective actions.
  • Support 5S workplace organization to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Coordinate production scheduling and resources to minimize backorders; ensure product quality.
  • Create and manage paperwork and ERP transactions for finished goods and inventory transfers.
  • Act as backup for production equipment and material handling.
  • Mentor staff through onboarding, training and performance management.

Job Summary


Join Medline Renewal as a Production Supervisor and lead a team in a unique manufacturing environment where innovation, continuous improvement and leadership help transform used medical devices into safe, high-quality products for healthcare providers.


In this role, you will ensure the timely and accurate production of finished goods and the delivery of product to the customer. Maintain inventory integrity of components and finished items.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee and coordinate product processing

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve process flow, increase productivity, and reduce operational costs.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and productivity, taking corrective actions when necessary.

  • Support and sustain 5S workplace organization standards to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

  • Monitor backorder reports and production scheduling and coordinate resources to ensure minimal backorders. Ensure overall quality of the items produced.

  • Create inventory transfers and production orders to meet the established production schedules and service levels.

  • Create all needed paperwork, the completion of all required functions and the electronic receipt of finished goods. Ensure compliance with all regulatory functions that apply.

  • Ensure inventory integrity for components and finished product.

  • Communicate with product divisions on backordered items and substitute items.

  • Act as back-up on/for production equipment, material handling and warehouse.

  • Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.


Required Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous SAP and Catalyst experience.

  • At least 2 years previous production experience.

  • Previous experience as a department lead or supervisor a plus.

  • At least 1 year of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.

  • Knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies such as 5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, Kaizen, and root cause problem solving.

The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position

$73,000.00 - $110,000.00 Annual


The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.


Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
