Medline Industries, LP — Arlington Heights, IL — seeks a Production Manager to lead our Respiratory Care manufacturing operations. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while developing teams and solving complex operational challenges.

This hands-on leader will partner with cross-functional teams to create an environment where employees thrive and processes run efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing and supply chain experience.
• Proficiency with AS400 and SAP; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations with minimal downtime and quality production.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and secure working environment; enforce procedures and 5S program.
• Coordinate plant activities with leadership, sales, engineering, procurement, production, shipping, maintenance, quality, and tech centers.
• Develop and mentor staff through onboarding, training, performance management, and motivation.
• Establish lean continuous improvement initiatives and KPI tracking.
• Resolve external complaints by liaising with Quality and facility staff to investigate issues.
• Ensure compliance with Quality system, training, documentation, and root cause analysis.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day‑to‑day manufacturing operations. Ensure efficient operations with minimum equipment downtime and quality production.
• Ensure a safe, clean and secure working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations. Initiate fixed capital requests, monitor all production related safety and security systems and procedures on a regular basis. Conduct regular safety meetings and review the effectivness of 5S program.
• Manage plant operations according to established company policy. Direct and coordinate all activities within the plant: coordinate requirements with leadership, sales, engineering, procurement, production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, quality functions and technology centers.
• Develop and mentor staff through on‑boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies. Conduct semi‑annually performance management for reports.
• Establish continuous improvement through lean initiatives in production. Report production improvements and failures and recommend solutions. Establish Key Performance Indicators related to strategy that track progress.
• Minimize and resolve external business related complaints by maintaining liaison with local and Divisional Quality staff, and facility staff to investigate and resolve customer issues.
• Ensure compliance of all products and procedures to the Quality system, execute and implement all the training procedures and documentation, and perform trouble shooting and root cause analysis.

• At least 5 years experience in manufacturing and Supply Chain (inventory management, warehouse, etc.) environment.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Intermediate skill level with AS400.
• Intermediate skill level in SAP.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).

The anticipated salary range for this position

$101,000.00 - $152,000.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
