Job summary

Zekelman Industries seeks a Production Supervisor for Maverick in Rantoul, IL. You will coordinate labor, supervise staff, and enforce safety while driving production efficiency and quality across the site.

You will lead training, oversee schedules, and collaborate with Quality/Maintenance to meet goals. Onsite, full-time role with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in management or supervision.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/warehouse.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with MES or SAP shop floor systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on sites and equipment to ensure standards are met.
• Develop work schedules to meet production goals and labor needs.
• Delegate tasks to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Provide training, cross-training, and evaluations.
• Monitor cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Generate daily operations reports and corrective actions.
• Escalate maintenance needs to improve uptime and reliability.
• Collaborate with Quality to uphold onsite standards.
• Support safety improvements and document injuries with actions.
• Hire, coach, and evaluate staff performance; manage personnel actions.
• Promote healthy, safe work practices and on-site attendance.

You will enforce safety procedures, collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet production goals while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
