Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead the shift production crew at our cement facility in Pryor Creek, OK. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of kilns, mills and auxiliaries, following plant SOPs and MSHA standards while delivering quality product.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years of supervisory experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, ability to work rotating 24/7 shifts, and a track record of improving throughput and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in cement, lime or aggregate industries is a plus.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and lead a front-line production crew.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift production crew to ensure safe and efficient operation of kilns, mills and auxiliaries.
• Follow company SOPs and MSHA standards to maintain safety and environmental compliance.
• Maximize equipment uptime and throughput while meeting quality standards.
• Ensure proper staffing, training and adherence to plant rules and policies.

Responsibilities

In support of our growth, we are seeking to add an experienced Production Supervisor to our team, who will be responsible for supervising the shift production crew to ensure the kilns, mills and auxiliary equipment are being operated safely and efficiently in order to produce a quality product. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for following company Standard Operating Practices for plant operations. The candidate selected must ensure all employees and contractors in the plant work in a safe manner, which is consistent with company work rules and MSHA standards.

The incumbent must ensure the plant is run in a manner, which will avoid serious damage to equipment. The candidate selected will run the plant in compliance with environmental regulations and ensure that product is manufactured to company standards. The candidate must also ensure that equipment operating time and through put is maximized in a manner that is consistent with the company’s practices and policies.

Qualifications

Skills the candidate of this position must have are:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required; 2-year associate degree preferred
• 2 years supervisory experience
• 5 years experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience supervising in a union environment is preferred
• Control room or lab experience is preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 plant operations
• Experience working in the cement, lime or aggregate industry is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
