Job summary

EOTECH LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee assembly lines at the Plymouth facility. This role coaches production team leaders and hourly staff, ensuring adherence to work rules and standardized procedures while driving throughput and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of supervision experience, with Lean Six Sigma or lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of supervision experience managing hourly workers.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Lean Six Sigma is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assembly lines and mentor production team leaders and hourly workers.
  • Ensure production rates meet financial targets and maintain throughput in Plymouth factory.
  • Maintain 6S workplace organization and support ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Manage material flow and WIP along with quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with HR on staffing, performance issues, and safety.

Position Title: Production Supervisor Department: AssemblyClassification: Exempt, Direct Approved By: Human ResourcesREPORTING RELATIONSHIPSPosition Reports To: Director of Manufacturing OperationsJOB SUMMARYOversight of the manufacturing lines and assembly employees at the EOTECH HQ plant. Coach and mentor employees, ensuring adherence to work rules and standard procedures. Ownership of material flow, physical material tracking and systematic transactions of assigned areas. Emphasis on continuous improvement and optimization of the assembly areas and assembly related processes / procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAct as mentor and coach to assembly staffCoach, empower, and support production team leaders to assist with staff managementOwn the assembly line procedures and processes, coaching and enforcing expectations based on EOTECH work rules and standard operating proceduresEstablish and maintain procedures to ensure high standard of manufacturing operations, product quality, reliability, and safety - adhering to EOTECH’s ISO 9001 standardsResponsible to meet daily production rates tied to financial requirements of the company, responsible for the throughput of the Plymouth factory in a dynamic environmentEnsure the manufacturing department has necessary manpower, equipment, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their job tasksInterviewing and hiring of assembly staffTime management and approval authority of assembly staffManage projects and request capital expenditure activity to improve the assembly areasMaintain a clean, organized work environment. Follow, enforce and support 6S principlesResponsible for tracking and flow of materials through the manufacturing and quality assurance processes, including ownership of WIP (lineside), post manufacturing testing locations (qual-testing) and transaction activity/accuracy thereofResolve performance/disciplinary issues with employees in coordination with Human ResourcesOptimize and manage computer related systems related to the EOTECH manufacturing operationCommunicate to plant leadership on regular basisAll other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITYSupervising a team of 1-5 production team leadersSupervising team of hourly assembly and quality inspector employeesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field of studyEXPERIENCEAt least two years’ previous supervision experience managing a team of hourly workersBACKGROUND PREREQUISITIESMust undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLean Six Sigma CertificationExperience with lean manufacturing principlesWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSWith or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
