Job Details
- Job Title: Production Supervisor
- Reports To: Production Superintendent
- Location: Fredericksburg, PA
- Status: Exempt
Basic Purpose
Responsible for overseeing all activities within the designated department, including various stages of processing and packaging. Ensures a safe, organized, and efficient operation with minimal downtime, strictly adhering to company standards, procedures, and customer specifications. Maintains compliance with HACCP plans and records, assigns, trains, and monitors staff in line with company policies and regulations.
Schedule & Shifts
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasionally Saturday if needed
- Shifts: 1st and 2nd
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate production line work to meet orders, ensuring quality standards and resource efficiency.
- Report on yields, efficiencies, and labor utilization.
- Seek continuous improvement in materials and processes.
- Ensure adherence to GMP standards and customer specifications, following HACCP plans.
- Maintain equipment and work areas, coordinating with maintenance staff and vendors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with management and regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on processing technologies and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations.
- Support business objectives through related responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Mentor and motivate 25-50 team members, providing training and development.
- Communicate performance standards, recognize achievements, and address issues.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, GMPs, HACCP, and safety regulations.
- Manage staffing, attendance, and line coverage.
- Lead team meetings and maintain proper documentation.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in production.
- Flexibility to work changing shifts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn all departmental roles.
- Positive attitude and dedication to quality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Motivational leadership abilities.
- Strong reading, math, writing, and analytical skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
