Job DescriptionJob Description

The Production Supervisor will work towards creating an efficient workforce. Providing supervision and on the job training. This role will also require continuous communication and collaboration with the Production Manager and Leads to ensure that multiple projects are being worked simultaneously, promote a sense of urgency, identify and address problems, ensure process adherence. IPC-620 and J-STD-001 experience a MUST. Certification in either a PLUS. Supervising work in accordance with military, aerospace and or other assembly standards using visual aids and verbal written instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Ensure production is cost effective and personnel are focused on tight process control and continuous improvement
  • Review, amend, and help generate standard operating procedures where needed
  • Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures for all production operations
  • Adhere to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals
  • Gain and maintain a full understanding of internal and external customer requirements
  • Review the performance of the production employees
  • Track production employee’s individual skill sets and competencies
  • Conduct training that develops skills and cross-trains each employee
  • Optimize resource utilization by recommending or implementing process improvements
  • Study production schedules and estimate manpower requirements for completion of job assignments
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet new challenges with successful and repeatable results
  • Suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of work crew
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products
  • Analyze and resolve work task problems and assist employees in solving those problems
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, schematics, operating instructions and/or procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to understand quality standards, methods, and reporting as required
  • Strong ability to excel under pressure in a rewarding and demanding environment
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring output and verifying alignment and functionality of each unit.
  • Abide by DCX-CHOL Enterprises policies, training, and quality and safety practices.
  • Competent in the daily tasks to meet their job duties and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 15+ years of manufacturing experience in assembly and equipment processes (molding, braiding, soldering, machining)
  • 5+ years of Supervisory experience w/ 50+ personnel
  • 5+ years of Lead experience
  • Ability to manage interpersonal issues of employees
  • Manage and schedule overtime production as needed.
  • General computer and MS Office for reporting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adhere to safety protocols

Work Environment:

This job operates in a manufacturing / production environment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands include the following but are not limited to: good mobility, physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and capable of routinely bending to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
