Satellite Shelters Inc. is seeking a Production Manager in Otsego, MN. The role partners with the Operations Manager to supervise fleet, production, quality control of RTG, facilities, and safety programs to drive customer satisfaction, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities include managing inventory, coordinating vendors, implementing 5S practices, ensuring safety, and overseeing yard and shop operations with a focus on efficiency and reliability.

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in Mobile Office or rental industry preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Fleet Management: manage yard inventory using barcode system for trailers; reconcile deliveries and returns; check and repair plastic; manage VAP and supply inventories with weekly checks.
• RTG Production Management: manage vendors; provide direction and quality checks; implement 5S; oversee QA of units and equipment; manage RTG checklist and inbound/outbound inspection.
• Safety: conduct Toolbox Talks; safety inspections; oversee corrections; update SDS and policies.
• Facilities: organize shop and supplies; oversee housekeeping; daily 5S and weekly deep cleaning.
• Supervisory: supervise all yard staff and yard supervisor.

• Pay or shift range: $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

Position Summary:

60% - Operations: The Production Manager partners with the Operations Manager in supervision of the fleet, production and quality control of RTG, facilities, and our Safety program. This position strives to achieve customer: satisfaction, productivity, product development, quality, and cleanliness.

20% - Safety: In addition to the daily production of the shop and yard, the Production Manager will work to eliminate or control any hazardous conditions created from a variety of issues to create a safe working environment. They will also be responsible for training, inspecting, and overseeing corrections.

20% - Technology: Efficiencies and system integration into our day-to-day activities is an important aspect to our recent success; and it is ever growing. The Production Manager must be willing and able to implement and develop these efficiencies and have communication with the Operations Manager in facilitation of existing and future technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Fleet Management:

• Manage inventory in the yard using the barcode system for trailers.
• Handle the reconciliation of deliveries and returns.
• Check and repair plastic as needed.
• Manage VAP Inventory – Check quality and quantity to maintain both.
• Manage supply inventory- conduct weekly checks on commonly used items.

RTG Production Management:

• Manage the vendors; provide work direction, oversight, and quality checks.
• Implement and sustain 5S practices.
• Responsible for quality control of all units and equipment.
• Responsible for the RTG checklist, reconciliation, and accountability.
• Manage the inbound & outbound inspection process.
• Report all damage rebilling to the Operations Manager

Safety:

• Conduct all weekly Toolbox Talks with yard team.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections, oversee corrections, educate when necessary.
• Manage SDS Updates Right to Know policies

Facilities:

• Organize the shop and all supplies and tools.
• Oversee shop and yard housekeeping.
• Manage daily 5S and clean up.
• Manage weekly deep cleaning process.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervision of All Yard Staff & Yard Supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience in the Mobile Office, rental industry; or equivalent
• Proven leadership and managerial skills.
• Experience recruiting and developing employees.
• Experience in a rental or leasing business with repeat customers desired.
• Skill in conducting and documenting inquiries, investigations, audits, and reviews.
