Job summary

Brunswick Boat Group is seeking a production supervisor to lead a team of about 40–50 hourly staff in Merritt Island, FL. You will oversee safety, quality, cost, and delivery while coordinating training, scheduling, and material flow to meet engineering specifications and standards.

You will drive continuous improvement using data, mentor leaders, and ensure effective communication between management and shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Ability to analyze data and understand metrics and systems.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, oral, and listening.
  • Effective leadership and management skills to motivate employees, build relationships, and drive initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business.
  • AA or BA degree preferred.

  • Own safety culture, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action
  • Own and monitor metrics across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Manage approximately 40 to 50 hourly production associates, Group Leaders, and Crew Leaders
  • Lead and execute the training program for hourly employees in conjunction with Group Leader and Crew Leader roles
  • Create and execute work schedules in coordination with Group Leaders and Crew Leaders
  • Ensure material delivery reconciles with the correct day in process, including warehouse kits, wood, fiberglass, vinyl, and related materials
  • Ensure products are built to USCG, ABYC, and Sea Ray engineering specifications and standards
  • Utilize quality data to drive continuous improvement

As part of the talented production team, you will be responsible for leading the production area to the successful achievement of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people goals. This role plans and coordinates work activities, obtains resources for production success, and manages approximately 40 to 50 hourly production associates, Group Leaders, and Crew Leaders. The position ensures products are built to USCG, ABYC, and Sea Ray engineering specifications and standards, and utilizes quality data to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Own safety culture, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action
  • Own and monitor metrics across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Manage approximately 40 to 50 hourly production associates, Group Leaders, and Crew Leaders
  • Lead and execute the training program for hourly employees in conjunction with Group Leader and Crew Leader roles
  • Create and execute work schedules in coordination with Group Leaders and Crew Leaders
  • Ensure material delivery reconciles with the correct day in process, including warehouse kits, wood, fiberglass, vinyl, and related materials
  • Ensure products are built to USCG, ABYC, and Sea Ray engineering specifications and standards
  • Ensure all pertinent data is collected and documented, including part weights and serial numbers
  • Utilize quality data to drive continuous improvement
  • Interpret and enforce company policies, rules, and regulations in a consistent manner; act as a liaison between management and the workforce to maintain the highest possible level of employer‑associate relations; ensure practices are fair, consistent, and aligned with company values
  • Demonstrate a culture of communication, collaboration, and recognition while treating everyone with dignity and respect
  • Set and communicate high expectations clearly
  • Recommend and initiate personnel actions, including selections, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, terminations, counseling, and disciplinary measures
  • Ensure safe working conditions and good housekeeping are maintained while meeting quality and cost requirements; train and engage associates in improving safety practices
  • Work with support functions to ensure all processes are under control
  • Provide leadership, focus, direction, and coordination to Group Leaders, Crew Leaders, and production employees
  • Delegate daily work changes and coordinate out‑of‑station work as needed
  • Manage department budgets, including chargebacks
  • Lead JHA initiatives in the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on LSS continuous improvement projects
  • Lead 5S activities
  • Coordinate product movement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience

  • Effective leadership and management skills to motivate employees, build relationships, and drive initiatives throughout the facility

The hiring range for this position is $66,000 – $87,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
