About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for :

  • Managing production associates and processes to achieve safety, quality, plant, and business objectives.
  • Establishing and executing a plan to meet value stream objectives.
  • Partnering with appropriate stakeholders and support departments to ensure value stream success.
  • Assessing skill levels and guiding continuous development for direct report associates.
  • Coaching associates through a high-change environment.
Role Responsibilities
  • Supervise, lead, coach, and develop a group of production operators while spending time on the production floor.
  • Proactively manage direct reports to drive performance behaviors and engagement, including motivating and retaining associates through onboarding, cross-training, coaching, feedback, corrective actions, performance reviews, and personal development strategies.
  • Confer with management and associates to address worker problems and complaints. Recommend personnel actions such as promotions and corrective measures, including terminations.
  • Ensure safety and quality objectives are met by maintaining compliance with safety and quality systems and collaborating with support groups.
  • Drive innovation and change through communication and active management, supporting key business initiatives by increasing employee engagement and leading continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and communicate departmental and organizational goals to achieve effective metrics. Work with management, direct reports, and other departments to resolve issues, aligned with Haleon values and behaviors.
  • Investigate and resolve root causes of non-conformance using systematic methodologies, and implement corrective actions by expected deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to implement continuous improvement plans related to engineering, factory maintenance, planning, material management, and quality to meet plant and departmental goals.
  • Provide leadership by setting an example and actively intervening to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency metrics at the department, plant, and corporate levels.
  • Lead implementation of improvement projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and cost targets are met, and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Provide compliant technical solutions and demonstrate expertise on process characteristics.
EHS Responsibilities All Associates
  • Understand, comply with, and report on all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
  • Report unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses, and hazardous materials releases.
  • Wear personal protective equipment and attend EHS training programs.
  • Follow all safe work procedures.
Quality Responsibilities All Associates
  • Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards, including Data Integrity, QA, and QC.
  • Follow QMS policies and regulatory requirements.
Why you
Basic Qualifications :
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or packaging roles within a cGMP regulated industry.
  • Project management skills and experience on major technical projects.
  • Resource management, time management, and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Knowledge of operational excellence tools such as FMEA, MSA, etc.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, analytical skills, and technical report writing.
  • Good knowledge of internal and external quality and EHS requirements.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in the consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
  • Demonstrated career progression into roles of increasing responsibility.
  • SAP knowledge for NPI/technical trials execution.
  • Experience with process validation, scale-up, and technical transfers.
  • Knowledge of value stream ways of working.
  • Ability to interpret data for tactical and strategic decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
