Job summary

Park-Ohio Holdings Corp. seeks a Lean manufacturing specialist to drive continuous improvement in a safe, efficient production environment.

You will ensure compliance with TS 16949 and environmental, health and safety regulations while fostering standardized work and 5S practices. You will monitor daily operations with kanban, coordinate on-the-job and cross training, provide associates with training, tools and equipment, and collaborate with other departments to resolve processing issues and

• Experience applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Ability to provide training and cross-training to associates.

Responsibilities

• Provide department associates with training, tools, and equipment to produce a quality product.
• Monitor Kanbans to assure efficient utilization of equipment and associates.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for safety and to ensure ongoing future operations.
• Coordinate needs with other departments and resolve processing issues.
• Maintain a quality system that meets or exceeds TS 16949 certification.
• Ensure standardized work practices are utilized in the work areas.
• Facilitate ongoing safety and communications.

Job description

Accomplish company goals through Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement in a safe and effective work environment within the guidelines of company policies.

Ensures conformance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and practices

Provide assigned associates with necessary resources required to perform job responsibilities

Monitor daily work schedules utilizing kanban to ensure timely completion of orders

Oversee the operation of all equipment to ensure safe and proper working ability with scheduled preventive maintenance

Coordinate on-the-job training and cross training to ensure associates are capable of performing job responsibilities

Assist to resolve associate issues and concerns within the guidelines of the company policy

Develop new process methods for continuous improvement of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness

Assure proper administration of company rules and regulations

Facilitate ongoing safety and communications

Maintain a quality system that meets or exceeds the requirements for TS 16949 certification

Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and practices

Maintain 5S housekeeping assignments on a daily basis

Ensure standardized work practices are utilized in the work areas

Provide department associates with proper training, tools, and equipment to produce a quality product
