Job summary

Mancan is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 1st shift in Wickliffe, OH. You will oversee daily production operations, lead a team, and work hands-on to ensure safety and productivity on the floor.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, is proficient with spreadsheets, and can communicate directions clearly to maintain efficient operations. OT may be required based on workload.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets and basic computer systems.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Forklift and crane operation experience preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Job Description

Production Supervisor 1st Shift

Location: Wickliffe, OH

Hours: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (OT as needed, occasional 4:00 AM 4:00 PM)

Pay: BOE $24-$26 an hour

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor while actively working alongside the team. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on involvement, and the ability to manage workflow, ensure safety compliance, and maintain productivity standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable using spreadsheets, supervising employees, and clearly communicating directions to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead production employees to ensure safe and efficient workflow
  • Provide clear direction, training, and support to team members
  • Work hands-on with the team to complete daily production tasks
  • Properly handle, store, and monitor customer materials
  • Track production, labor, and workflow using spreadsheets and basic data entry
  • Ensure awareness of crane capacities, material weights, and equipment operation
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing all plant safety requirements
  • Inspect slings, chains, forklifts, and lifting equipment prior to use
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with crane and forklift operators
  • Oversee material banding, crimping, and packaging processes
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace free of hazards
  • Support ISO 9001:2008 standards and company quality initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and policies
  • Monitor team performance and address issues as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment
  • Facility is not climate controlled (no heat in winter, no air conditioning in summer)
  • Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures
  • Work attire should be durable and suitable for physical labor (uniform provided upon hire)
