Production Supervisor – KC (Welding-Focused)

Key Responsibilities:
Understand management expectations and company policies, including employee handbook and code of conduct.
Supervise hourly employees, monitor work habits, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Provide day-to-day direction for welding and pipe fit-up operations to meet quality and production goals.
Offer technical guidance and support in welding methods, techniques, and equipment use.
Understand and enforce all 5S and safety requirements to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Review and interpret work orders and drawings for accuracy, especially related to welded assemblies.
Provide feedback, support, and on-the-floor training to team members to improve welding accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with QA to ensure proper inspection and compliance with weld quality standards.
Communicate across shifts and departments to coordinate schedules and optimize production flow.
Work with planners and materials teams to manage inventory and ensure parts availability.
Monitor welding and metal fabrication equipment and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
Support operations manager with team development and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
A strong working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon/stainless steel and alloy metals (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
Ability to read blueprints and drawings, check dimensions, and allocate resources effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong math skills and a mechanical mindset.
Comfortable operating and understanding welding equipment and related manufacturing tools (e.g., cranes, cutting tools, molding presses).
Clear communicator with leadership qualities, team spirit, and a strong sense of accountability.
Ability to identify issues on the floor and work collaboratively on solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Hands-on and capable of performing or demonstrating core production and welding tasks as needed.
