Job summary

Del Monte Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor for a U.S. facility to oversee daily operations across warehouse, production lines, and QA.

You will partner with managers to meet goals, manage labor, and ensure safety and product quality throughout processing. The role requires 2–3 years supervisory experience in multi‑product manufacturing, strong Excel proficiency, and a focus on cost control, scheduling, and HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2–3 years in a similar role.
  • 2–3 years supervisory experience in a multi-product manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with scheduling, cost control, inventory, quality assurance, and food safety.
  • Ability to work in wet, cold environments (<40°F) for extended periods.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to move across departments or shifts as needed to optimize machinery and staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production plans with Production Manager/Operations Manager on a weekly/daily basis.
  • Track labor and yields; adjust staffing to improve productivity.
  • Maintain labor budget and ensure efficient labor utilization.
  • Ensure availability of quality raw materials and packaging.
  • Oversee QA collaboration to monitor temperatures and processing.
  • Communicate issues and changes to leadership and teams.

Purpose of Position

This position will help the Operations Manager manage and oversee all aspects of production within the location. In this role, will partner with various departments, including Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving and Quality Assurance, to coordinate efforts to improve quality and reduce costs, while maintaining adequate labor and resource utilization, to achieve maximum yields.

Accountabilities
  • Discuss production plan with Production Manager/Operation Manager on a weekly/daily basis.
  • Review production goals with staff, on a daily basis, to determine if goals were met. If not, determine what factors prevented the attainment of production goals in order to apply appropriate remedial measures.
  • Assist with Tracking labor and yield efficiencies for each shift. Implement changes in manpower to improve productivity yields.
  • Maintain the proper labor force and ensure facility is operating within established labor budget.
  • Assist the Manager with the production staff training to develop product knowledge and skills.
  • Work closely with the Production Supervisors to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure consistent availability of quality raw materials and packaging.
  • Ensure compliance with all preparatory and processing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all cuts and pack size specifications, volume, quality, labeling, packaging and other product related guidelines.
  • Coordinate sample production and assist with new product development.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance team to monitor processing and finished product temperatures.
  • Monitor chlorine levels and ensure appropriate cold chain systems are maintained throughout processing.
  • Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet or exceed product specifications.
  • Consistently review Quality, GMP and HACCP requirements to ensure company performance standards are met and/or exceeded.
  • Effectively communicate with other Managers, Supervisors and other location leadership and teams on production issues and changes.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma OR GED, plus at least 2 to 3 years prior experience in a similar role.
  • At least 2 to 3 years prior experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Previous experience working in a multi‑product, line manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of supply chain strategies and distribution systems.
  • Must be able to communicate well (both written and verbal) with management as well as direct employees in a productive/professional manner.
  • Solid background in scheduling and cost control, process management, inventory control, quality assurance and food safety.
  • Must be able to work in a wet, cold (<40 degrees) environment for extended periods of time.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word and Outlook, etc.) but experienced with excel is a must.
  • Flexible—Willing to move around within department or to different shifts as necessary to analyze and make necessary changes to machinery and personnel.
