Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of production on their shift.
• Manage resources on the shift to ensure efficient production of material.
• Lead continuous improvement projects related to Lean Manufacturing.
• Develop and implement methods, systems, policies & procedures for efficient operations.
• Implement corrective action to prevent downtime and maintain output.
• Coordinate with all departments on manufacturing issues; report to Production Manager.
• Ensure production data is gathered and reported daily.
• Track performance, analyze data, and provide monthly reports.
• Ensure standards for labour, material use and product quality are met.
• Promote safe work and housekeeping; conduct safety talks.
• Enforce safety and housekeeping; report hazards.
• Ensure up-to-date training and records.
• Conduct performance evaluations; apply corrective discipline as required.

Job Description

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the HOU facility production operations. The Production Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that operations remain a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflow. This position requires an individual with solid communication skills, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a growing, progressive company and continue to grow their skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to insure the efficient operation of production on their shift.
• Responsible for managing all resources on the shift to ensure that there is efficient production of material.
• Participate and lead continuous improvement projects related to Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Develops & implements new methods, systems, policies & procedures to ensure efficient & effective operation of all shift manufacturing activities.
• Implements corrective action to prevent downtime and maintain consistent production output.
• Communicate and co-ordinate with all departments with regards to all manufacturing issues; communicates all production issues to Production Manager.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly each day.
• Track performance, analyze data and provide monthly reports
• Ensures that all established standards for labour, material utilization and product quality are met.
• Actively promote safe work and good housekeeping practices consistent with the Safety program by employing daily observation and group safety talks to educate employees on an ongoing basis.
• Enforce safe work and good housekeeping practices; alert the Company of any safety hazard or housekeeping concern.
• Ensures proper training & job instruction of employees with respect to expected standards of work performance, quality and job safety.
• Ensure up to date training and records are maintained.
• Conducts Performance Evaluation of employees reporting into this function. Applies corrective discipline as required.
• Attend to duties and projects as assigned by Manager or his/her delegate
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years Production experience in a supervisor or lead role
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical problem solving skills
