Job summary

Dana Canada Corp. in Henderson, KY, is seeking an experienced production supervisor to lead daily operations on the shop floor.

You will oversee a team, drive continuous improvement, ensure 5S, coach staff, and collaborate with team leaders across shifts to meet quality and efficiency goals. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and a commitment to safety and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in manufacturing, management or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Forward thinking and self-motivated in continuous improvement production systems.
• Flexibile to work any shift and willing to accept phone calls during off hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all employees in the department and manage the flow of production.
• Assure 5S throughout facility.
• Focus on improving product and process capability.
• Able to coach and give disciplinary notices to employees when necessary.
• Liaison to Team Leaders on all Shifts (Coach, Lead, & Direct).
• Actively participate in all aspects of quality control as it relates to daily production.
• Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues.
• Verify work standards / set up sheets, quality checkpoint sheets and all other production related documents are present at the point of use and up to date and employees follow them.
• Analyze repairs and scrap trends on daily basis and implement immediate and long term corrective actions to achieve yearly scrap goals and plant efficiency.
• Monitor vacation/bonus days and attendance of employees in your department.
• Update and assess employee-training matrix at all times.
• Lead and audit shop floor safety and training for employees in your department.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting
• New Product Launch experience preferred
• Lean Manufacturing experience
