Job summary

Acro Service Corp in Flint, MI is seeking a production supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers on multiple shifts. Training starts on the first shift and there is likely rotation across shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment, and a basic understanding of supply chain and materials movement. A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.

• Training starts on 1st shift

Job Responsibilities

The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.

• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
• 1. Managerial experience, specifically working in a union environment.
• 2. Being able to adapt quickly. In the GSC, everything is constantly changing, and they need to be able to make changes on the fly.
• 3. Have an understanding of supply chain/logistics.

Skills
