With operations across 8 North American manufacturing sites and headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, we offer an excellent career opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Elkhart, IN plant.
The Production Supervisor oversees all plant operations and workflow. Responsibilities include monitoring production processes, personnel, and resources, and championing safety and quality programs at the plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise secondary floor activities such as slitter, shipping, receiving, galvanizing, and stenciling.
- Maintain reporting procedures and shift production summaries, including reconciliation of coils consumed and bundles produced.
- Ensure equipment operation by coordinating repairs and maintenance corrections.
- Oversee mill tooling status, rolls, and dies. Read and interpret customer and ASTM specifications and use Shop Floor systems. Maintain rolling schedules.
- Enforce collective bargaining agreements, safety, and conduct rules, and discipline infractions accordingly.
- Support adherence to company standards regarding goals, speeds, changeover times, uptime, yields, and mill specifications.
- Organize and lead monthly safety meetings, enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize injuries.
- Manage shift employees through clear communication of expectations, performance monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train new employees.
- Maintain and process timekeeping and payroll functions.
- Ensure product quality per ASTM and BMT standards and adhere to ISO programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in metal tubing.
- Solid understanding of business planning, quality, safety, and operational requirements.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Proficiency in computer systems.
