Our Client, a Leading Global Tier 1 Automotive Mobility Supplier company, is looking for a Production Supervisor for their Detroit, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe & productive workplace while leading a team of approximately 30-40 hourly associates.
- Troubleshoot daily equipment issues by identifying and resolving process, system and/or mechanical failures.
- Provide clear expectations and hold hourly associates accountable while providing continual feedback.
- Provide associates with inspiration, direction & coaching to achieve work objectives.
- Develop team members to become self sufficient with regard to completing their work responsibilities effectively. Lead process improvement activities by coordinating cross functional teams comprised of production, materials, maintenance, quality and engineering. Promote, maintain and develop lean manufacturing practices. Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments inclusive of meeting production targets, cycle time and product & process quality standards. Strong leadership skills and ability to lead manage and motivate the production team in the areas of Safety, Quality, delivery,
- Directly supervises hourly associates and directs resources as required.
- Oversees the planning, scheduling, setup, and running of production activities.
- Manages the dispersal and distribution of materials for production.
- Maintains labor and material requirements to meet the daily production schedule.
- Oversees the work of production associates and coordinates with leaders of production support staff; communicates expectations and provides direction and training.
- Monitors work performance and provides feedback.
- Coordinates maintenance of production equipment.
- Oversees process control and quality process control
Requirements:- Performance and Continuous Improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with high performance work teams. High level of initiative and assertiveness, along with ownership and accountability.
- Ability to analyze short and long term objectives and make good decisions.
- Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic work environment while continually managing resources and striving for excellence.
- Experience with CNC machines would be a plus.
- Supervising groups of up to 50 associates.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- High School Diploma or GED. College degree not required.
- I would just like to include minimum 5 years of production supervisory experience.
