Job summary

Arconic Davenport Works is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly team members in lean manufacturing to meet production goals with a safe and positive environment. You will direct training, problem solve, and ensure quality and on-time delivery while supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires relevant supervisory experience, U.S. work authorization, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts with periodic day/night rotation. An engineering/leadership associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Access to controlled technology per export regulations; authorizations may be required.
• U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product is produced with superior quality, improved recovery, reliable and consistent delivery performance and rapid problem solving.
• Accomplish business objectives in accordance with the principles of the Arconic Business System (ABS).
• Coach employees to move the organization toward the target condition: measurable results, waste elimination, flow security, and visual factory; high engagement as teams develop.
• Provide process direction and prioritization to craft employees on off-shifts to resolve equipment issues.
• Work 12-hour shifts (4:30am-4:30pm or 4:30pm-4:30am) with rotation every 3-4 months.

Under the direction of the Area Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible to ensure a safe, productive environment and foster a positive work environment by helping team members learn, grow and develop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product is produced with superior quality, improved recovery, reliable and consistent delivery performance and rapid problem solving
• Accomplish business objectives in accordance with the principles of the Arconic Business System (ABS)
• Coach employees in a manner that moves the organization toward accomplishing the target condition: results can be measured; projects eliminate waste, secure flow, and create a visual factory; and employees demonstrate high levels of engagement as teams develop and grow
• Provide process direction and prioritization to craft employees on off-shifts to resolve equipment issues, as needed
• Please note: This position will work 12-hour shifts (430am-430pm or 430pm-430am) and will require a rotation from day to night (and vice versa) schedule approximately every 3-4 months. ***

Qualifications

You have (required):

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
• This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R.
• 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Exceptional Candidates also have (preferred):

• Associates Degree preferred in Engineering, Leadership or technical field from an accredited institution.
• Specialized, vocational, or technical training courses (such as: apprenticeships, Journeyman licensure, etc.)
• 2 years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2 or more years of experience in a union environment
