Nestlé’s Crete, Nebraska facility, one of the region’s largest wet pet food manufacturers, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a technician team across functions, ensuring top-notch equipment performance and safety during off-shift hours. The role emphasizes coaching, development, and continuous improvement within a high-volume operation.

You will oversee staff development, implement performance goals, and collaborate with cross-functional leadership to meet factory objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or a related environment.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and develop staff through progression plan adherence.
• Oversee performance, coaching, corrective actions, recognition, promotions, and lifecycle management.
• Coach and develop staff on continuous improvement, TPM, and leadership skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional factory leadership to ensure end-to-end performance.
• Use problem-solving tools to reduce equipment downtime.
• Lead projects on performance improvement and facility goals, sponsor CI efforts.
• Deliver KPIs in the area of responsibility including efficiency, downtime, and staffing utilization.

Position Summary

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo, Nestl Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and Nestl Purina Veterinary Diets. We also proudly do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives.

This position will be on an off shift schedule and will work a 12-2 schedule (working every other weekend).

As a Production Supervisor, you’ll lead by example as you foster and engage in a culture of standards that promote the highest level of safety and quality throughout our processes. Coach and develop a team of technicians who will work across functions to ensure top-notch equipment performance throughout the operation day. Oversee your team’s career development as you help them achieve performance goals in their area of responsibility.

• Monitor and ensure development of team through progression plan adherence.
• Oversee performance of team including coaching, issuing corrective actions, issuing recognition, recommending promotions, and monitoring full associate life cycle.
• Coach and develop staff on continuous improvement efforts, TPM, and leadership skills.
• Collaborate with cross functional factory leadership team to ensure end-to-end performance success.
• Utilize problem-solving and tools available to reduce equipment downtime.
• Lead projects focused on performance improvement, factory goals, and personal development including sponsorship of continuous improvement efforts within the facility.
• Deliver key performance indicators within assigned area of responsibility in the factory including operational efficiency, downtime, and staffing utilization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
• 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

Salary: $75,229.20 to$99,782.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
