Job summary

A leading foam manufacturer in Corry, PA is seeking a Production Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring safety protocols and managing employee performance, the ideal candidate has 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, is familiar with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and has a degree in Management or a related field. Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
- Ensure employees are following all safety processes and protocols.
- Responsible for ensuring employee training is completed completely and timely.
- Enter absences and vacation into the time and attendance system, ADP.
- Evaluate employee performance and pursue corrective action for rule violations.
- Complete Hourly Performance Reviews.
- Complete On-The-Job Training forms both hourly and temporary employees.
- Notify management of employee issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for distribution and channeling of orders through the production areas.
- Adjust manpower as required by production.
- Ensure the production schedule is being produced daily.
- Maintain flow of information to and from employees concerning work requirements, new policies, and new methods of operations.
SAFETY:
- Ensure employees are in compliance with safety and environmental rules.
- Complete the Health and Safety Orientation Training Checklist for all new hires, transferring employees, and temporary workers.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings. Coordinate the completion of Incident Investigation Reports (IIR).
- Coordinate the completion of Near Miss/Hazard Reports.
- Investigate the cause of safety incidents and include in documentation on the IIR or Near Miss/Hazard Report.
- Monitor emails distributed with items to be addressed during weekly safety meetings.
- Participate by being a member of or assisting the 5‑S for Safety Team.
- Act as Supervisor for JHA team; coordinate JHA training each month.
PRODUCTION:
- Perform periodic inspections of the production/plant area.
- Plan and coordinate production of quality foam at the lowest possible cost.
- Check equipment for problems.
- Complete maintenance work orders for repairs as needed.
- Recommend and implement improved working methods.
- Work together as a supervisor of the team to maximize plant output.
- Address problems in the production area.
- Control overtime.
- Maximize foam yield.
- Ensure shortages are added to the truck by shift end; the driver signs the bill of lading and receives packing list.
- Attend Supervisory training courses.
- Responsible for following all environmental, safety, and work rules.
- Responsible for notifying management of any harassment, unsafe acts/conditions, or environmental concerns.
- Responsible for following the 5‑S for Safety Process (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, sustain).
- Responsible for working safely.
- Responsible for complying with all quality requirements.
- Responsible for working overtime when required/scheduled.
- Available for call‑in when necessary.
