Job summary

PSC Industries in Columbia, TN seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a fiberglass department. You will train operators, enforce safety and attendance policies, and ensure quality SOPs are followed while coordinating with customer service to meet shipping deadlines.

The role involves learning all foam department machines, performing quality checks, and maintaining KPI targets in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Train operators to run the machines.
• Become forklift certified.
• Ensure work orders are issued for production to work on.
• Adhere to shipping days for customers and ensure products are ready to ship.
• Follow quality SOPs and ensure everyone in the department is following them.
• Ensure operators are using the correct materials in production.
• Make daily and weekly time corrections for employees in KRONOS.
• Ensure the department follows 5S requirements.
• Complete work orders after production has run them.
• Ensure employees are working safely in the department.
• Meet your KPIs.
• Minor repairs to dies used when needed.
• Hold employees accountable through disciplinary actions when needed.
• Work with customer service for customer needs.
• Work well with others.
• Be a leader and make decisions.
• Hands-on role in a fiberglass plant with hot summers and cold winters.
• Attend daily/weekly meetings.
• Manage and lead about 15-25 people daily in the department.
• Follow attendance policy and dress code daily.
• Perform quality checks on production work.
• Learn how to operate every machine in the foam department.

This is a very hands on roll:

• You will get dirty some days. We are a fiberglass plant. It gets hot in here in the summer and cold in the winter.
• You will be involved in daily/weekly meetings.
• You will be involved in all aspects of managing and leading about 15-25 people daily in your department.
• You will be expected to follow the attendance policy and enforce it as well. You will be in proper dress code daily.
• You will be doing quality checks on your production employee’s work.
• You will learn how to operate every machine in the foam department.
