Job summary

PSC Industries, Inc. seeks a hands-on supervisor for the fiberglass foam department in Columbia, TN. You will lead a 15-25 person team, train operators to run machines, and ensure daily operations align with safety, quality, and production goals.

You will manage attendance, timekeeping in KRONOS, and adherence to 5S standards while coordinating with customer service to satisfy shipments and deadlines. Expect a physically active, hot in summer and cold in winter environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a manufacturing/production team.

Responsibilities

• Train operators to run the machines.
• Become forklift certified.
• Make sure work orders are out for production to work on.
• Adhere to shipping days for customers and ensure product is ready to ship.
• Follow quality SOPs and ensure department adherence.
• Ensure operators use correct materials in production.
• Make daily and weekly time corrections for employees in KRONOS.
• Ensure the department follows 5S requirements.
• Complete work orders after production has run them.
• Ensure employees are working safely in the department.
• Meet KPIs.
• Minor repair to dies as needed.
• Hold employees accountable via disciplinary actions.
• Work with customer service for customer needs.

• All hands-on management of 15-25 staff daily.

This Is a Very Hands On Roll

• You will get dirty some days. We are a fiberglass plant. It gets hot in here in the summer and cold in the winter.
• You will be involved in daily/weekly meetings.
• You will be involved in all aspects of managing and leading about 15-25 people daily in your department.
• You will be expected to follow the attendance policy and enforce it as well. You will be in proper dress code daily.
• You will be doing quality checks on your production employee’s work.
• You will learn how to operate every machine in the foam department.
