Production Supervisor
***Job Summary
Hands-on manufacturing supervisor who provides guidance and training in the manufacture of food. Works alongside and with the manufacturing team, stepping in as needed to ensure maximum productivity. Helps keep materials organized and advises management of upcoming needs. Provides a good example for others to follow in safety, quality, and productivity. Maintains an orderly flow of quality production through the manufacturing plant. Encourages good housekeeping and sets a positive example for employee morale and job satisfaction. Advises management of productivity and quality issues that are not quickly and satisfactorily resolved. Manages multiple areas, including grinding as needed, ensuring product flow to pack-off, production of multiple packaging lines, and pallet creation for fresh and frozen products, while ensuring service and production needs are met. Fosters an effective work environment with QA, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Plant Leadership.
*This is a 2nd shift position.

*Minimum Requirements
4+ years supervisory experience in food packaging or processing, preferably in protein. High School diploma or GED required; college education is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in cold environments (40°F and below). Highly skilled in math. Proficient in English communication; bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, are preferred. Skills should include leadership, continuous improvement, USDA regulations, SOPs, supervisory experience, production optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and budgeting/forecasting.
