Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Colfax, NC plant to lead a night shift team of about 18 on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.

You will drive safety, coaching, and performance to meet productivity, safety and quality goals, while collaborating with QC, Engineering and Maintenance to reduce waste and improve processes. Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (percentages and volumes).
  • Demonstrated leadership in safety and environmental compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop and build a strong team.
  • Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and work with cross‑functional teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a results‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a manufacturing production team on the night shift (7pm–8am) on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.
  • Ensure a safe workplace and promote a safety mindset in all activities.
  • Hire, schedule and supervise full‑time and temporary staff.
  • Provide timely coaching, feedback and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews.
  • Oversee training, process documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance with quality processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering and Maintenance to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor productivity, manage costs, and apply lean principles; track inventory accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury-free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. They will provide leadership and direction for their team in a way that motivates them to meet all productivity, safety, and quality goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help both their team and company meet production standards. They will lead a team of about 18 people on the night shift (7pm-8am) on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Job Location

This position will be located at our plant in Colfax, NC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do
  • Follows, and ensures others follow, all policies, standards, and safety requirements defined by the company
  • Drives safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards
  • Hires, schedules, and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff
  • Provides coaching and corrective feedback timely as well as administers disciplinary processes up to and including termination, as necessary
  • Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members
  • Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution
  • Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace
  • Ensures a quality product is being produced and all quality processes are being followed
  • Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance, to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses
  • Tracks productivity for measured efficiency and improvement and operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training
  • Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved
  • Assist with troubleshooting and solving production issues
  • Performs other duties as requested by management
Job Requirements
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience required, manufacturing environment preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Officeincluding Word and Excel
