Job summary

Cold Spring Brewing is seeking a Variety Pack Supervisor to lead the production team on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. This role supervises 12-hour shifts, manages production goals, and ensures GMP adherence. A day or night shift is available with a $2 night differential where applicable.

You will oversee reporting, training, inventory checks, and liaison with warehouse teams to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency across the Variety Pack line.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years experience in manufacturing environment.

Our Opportunity: Variety Pack Supervisor

Status: Full Time Day Shift [or Full Time Night Shift]

Hours: 12-hour shift - 6a-6p [or 6p-6a]

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)

Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the Variety Pack Production team along with managing, directing and implementing operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of company monthly and shift specific Variety Pack Production Goals, while maintaining the highest level of quality and efficiency. This position is responsible for the upkeep, population and verifications of 24hr Production Reports, Repack Dashboard, Downtime Trackers and all other files associated with Variety Pack Production. The candidate must be able to manage and work well with other Managers and Supervisors. Candidate must be able to communicate with their teams with respect and lead by example in all aspects of their role and must adhere to all company policies and GMPs while ensuring their Variety Pack Production team is also abiding by all company policies and GMPs.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with employees on a daily basis to solve problems and create opportunities for success in achieving Variety Pack Production Monthly and Shift specific Goals.
  • Monitor/Review/Coach implementation of daily productivity improvements to ensure corporate goals are met. Conduct training of Production Leads and Operators as well as inventory control procedures and ensure all company policies are being followed.
  • Responsible for efficient monitoring and verification of all inventories related to Variety Pack Production both before and upon completion of Production Runs.
  • Assist in monitoring FEFO(First Expired First Out) based consumption is occurring during Variety Pack Production runs and monitor Statuses and locations of Subcomponents to ensure uninterrupted flow of product(s) and material(s) needed for Variety Pack Production.
  • Ensures the highest standards of safety and workplace cleanliness are developed, met and maintained throughout the Suite D warehouse and Variety Pack Production areas.
  • Recommends and initiates personnel actions of Production Leads and Operators, such as hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary measures, completion of Leads and Operators 30-60-90 trainings and the completion of their subsequent annual reviews.
  • Assist and work alongside the Warehouse Supervisors as needed throughout their working shifts, including assistance with additional inventory verifications, forklift operator training, special projects or any tasking requested by Warehouse Management.
  • Attends any department held meetings (Warehouse Supervisor Meetings, Variety Pack Lead Meetings, or any other meetings as required by Production Management.)
  • Acts as a liaison for production and warehouse processes as related to Variety Pack Production for customer and/or vendor visits.
  • Population and reporting of 24hr Reports
  • Upkeep of Repack Dashboard, Downtime Files, 2hr and 24hr template files (creation of new as needed and monitoring template accuracy)
  • Changeover Training for all products/changeovers
  • Training of Leads/Operators/Temps on all VP processes as needed with new hires or new temp team members
  • VP Inventory Verifications (Trays/Carriers/subs/FGs produced, their locations and Statuses both before runs and after MO completions) any other immediate thoughts
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the Plant Manager, or Director of Operations.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments
  • Maintain and strive to improve company GMP’s and Safety protocols
  • Acts as liaison for production and warehouse processes for customer and vendor visits.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.

What You Need to Bring

Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.

Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.

The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.
