Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities at our dairy facility in Syracuse, NY. You will coach and develop a team, drive safety and quality, and ensure production schedules are met while controlling costs.

The successful candidate will have 2–4+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, strong communication, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet output, quality, and safety targets
• Supervise, coach, and develop production employees to improve performance and engagement
• Assign work and manage staffing to meet production schedules and operational needs
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, policies, and standard operating procedures
• Monitor product quality and
• Maintain accurate employee records including attendance, overtime, and safety documentation
• Conduct basic accident investigations and support corrective action implementation
• Enforce company policies and maintain a positive, accountable work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2–4+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar operational environment required
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to analyze problems and make sound operational decisions
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, or related field
• Experience in food or dairy manufacturing strongly preferred
• Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments preferred

Pay: $80,000-$110,000

* The salary range listed for this position represents the good faith and reasonable minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
