We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily high-volume food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for directing shift personnel, maintaining continuous production schedules, and ensuring strict adherence to product consistency, food safety standards (SQF/BRC), and OSHA safety regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in automated or commercial food processing, with direct experience in mixing, proofing, and packaging workflows.
Direct and coordinate daily activities across high-volume production lines, including ingredient mixing, makeup, proofing, baking, cooling, and packaging.
Ensure daily production schedules, output targets, and Yield/Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics are met without sacrificing product quality.
Monitor critical control parameters throughout the production process.
Lead daily shift huddles, assign work roles, and manage line balancing to minimize downtime and eliminate bottlenecks.
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
Monitor and verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) logs, allergen control protocols, and quality checks.
Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) to audit incoming raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products for specification compliance.
Lead immediate root-cause investigations and corrective action plans for any quality deviations or non-conformance incidents.
Supervise, train, and mentor line leads, machine operators, mixers, and packaging technicians.
Conduct performance evaluations, track shift attendance, and manage employee relations in alignment with company policies.
Promote a continuous improvement mindset, cross-training staff to increase operational flexibility across production lines.
Enforce all workplace safety rules (OSHA), personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
Work alongside Maintenance Technicians to coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical equipment failures.
Partner with Sanitation teams to ensure timely line clearance, deep cleaning, and readiness for audit standards.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
Certifications: HACCP certification and PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) strong preferred. SQF or BRC audit experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and digital batch recording tools.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours), lift up to 50 lbs, and work in environments with variable temperatures (heat from ovens, ambient flour/dust environments).
