Production Supervisor
Job Summary
Leads, coordinates, and manages all aspects of production activities across various departments to achieve optimal cost management and on‑time completion of customer orders. Supervises business units, supports company‑defined goals and standards, and ensures high productivity and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enforce company policies (Conduct, Quality, Safety), train and coach staff.
- Use cascade communication to inform others of problems; hold daily communication meetings.
- Prepare employee performance evaluations, conduct reviews, outline training plans and career prospects.
- Administer hiring, promotion, discipline, and related policies with HR and Management.
- Optimize processes to reduce cost and increase productivity while maintaining conformance to customer requirements and industry specifications; participate in continual improvement and cost‑reduction projects.
- Lead and drive change using Lean Manufacturing techniques; engage the team through Lean culture techniques.
- Train personnel on manufacturing and tooling blueprints and work orders.
- Implement quality controls to ensure products are produced and delivered on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements, Statistical Process Control, documentation, and computer transactions.
- Analyze production reports, conduct audits, coaching as needed.
- Coach production line leads to set up work methods to achieve productivity, quality, and safety expectations.
- Review Engineering Change Orders and participate in Material Review Board sessions.
- Participate in failure analysis, conduct root‑cause investigations, and define corrective actions.
- Execute production operations, meet schedules, coordinate with inventory, shipping, and planning for end‑to‑end work order processing.
- Conduct time studies, establish work methods and workflow, maintain detailed production records.
- Ensure safety standards are followed and safety remains top priority.

- Computer Skills
- Use manufacturing software and word processing software.
- Knowledge of ISO9000, D19000A, and SPC preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Five to seven years of related manufacturing experience.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience supervising technical processes or products.
Compensation
The expected pay range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Additional incentives such as equity, commissions, or variable bonuses may be available.
