Job summary

Kerry’s Byesville, Ohio facility is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a 15–35 person shift, driving safety, quality and efficiency on the 3rd shift.

You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, applying Lean and 5S to maximize performance while mentoring team members and maintaining SAP-based reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in food, beverage, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience leading hourly production teams.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP, SQF, BRC, and food safety systems.

• Foster a Safety First, Quality Always culture.
• Drive daily production performance, schedule attainment, and labor efficiency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees through ongoing feedback and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, BRC, and company safety standards.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Safety teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
• Monitor and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Maintain accurate production reporting and inventory controls using SAP and other systems.

What You’ll Do

The primary role of the Production Supervisor is to lead by example, drive strategic growth and manage change effectively. You'll engage with internal and external clients, develop talent, and collaborate across the organization to maximize value. This role is essential for fostering a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement within the company. You'll spend 75% of your time on the production floor and interacting with cross functional teams to anticipate challenges and take action to maximize quality and efficiencies.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in food, beverage, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience leading and developing hourly production teams.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP, SQF, BRC, and food safety systems.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

What We Offer

The hiring range for this position is $74,200. - $84,800. in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and location. This is a 3rd Shift role, the Production Operators are scheduled 1030PM-700AM, with Overtime Available on Saturdays.
