Job summary

Mclane-Classic-Foods in Texas is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to oversee staff, organize workflow, and ensure production plans are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will monitor equipment, coach employees, and coordinate with maintenance, while ensuring compliance with GMPs and company policies in a cold, freezer environment.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years experience in warehouse supervising.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Lift 50-70 lbs.
  • Work in freezer or cold environment (40°F-50°F) for 8-10 hour shifts.
  • Basic literacy (English) and math skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises manufacturing staff and organizes workflow.
  • Communicates job expectations, plans, monitors and appraises results; coaches, counsels and disciplines as needed.
  • Maintains staff through recruitment, selection, orientation and training.
  • Monitors process flow, equipment, personnel and resources; studies methods; implements cost reductions.
  • Schedules and assigns personnel to meet production plans; sets priorities and revises as needed.
  • Ensures GMPs and safety guidelines are followed; coordinates with maintenance for repairs.
  • Compiles production data and reporting to inform management; supports system improvements.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data and investigating issues.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and budgets; supports cross-department cooperation.
  • Other duties as assigned by VP of Operations or President & CEO.

Job description

Role and Responsibilities:Employee will be responsible for supervising staff manufacturing products, as well as organizes and monitors workflow.Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and proceduresResolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations or President & CEO.Adhere to plant GMPs and safety guidelines.Skills and Requirements:HS Diploma or GED & 3yrs experience in warehouse supervising.Be able to stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time.Be able to lift 50-70 lbs.Be able to work in freezer or cold (40°F- (-)50°F) wet environment for 8-10 hour shifts.Basic literacy (English) and math skills (use of calculator).Microsoft Experience (Excel, Word and Outlook).Additional NotesMaybe required to have additional training in HACCP, Forklift/Pallet jack certification, Allergen, and chemical usage.
