JOB DESCRIPTION

One of our automotive clients is looking for a Production Supervisor in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Duration: 06 to 07 months (may go longer)

Number of positions: 1

Daily Schedule/Shift:

• Revolving shifts: 1st and 2nd
• 1st Shift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00PM – 11:30PM
• Supervisors rotate every 3 months on shifts
• Show up 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after shift

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of production and operating workers.
• Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff; resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Skills:

• Verbal communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years’ experience required.
• Open to early-career candidates with less than 2 years of experience demonstrating leadership potential.
• Supervisory experience in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Strong time management and people skills.
