ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Floor Supervision (35%) – Review silo & raw materials levels, coordinate with production schedule, inspect lines, and ensure employees have tools, work orders and wear proper PPE.
- Housekeeping (5%) – Maintain worksite cleanliness, sweep, vacuum, remove debris, and empty dust collector drums.
- Staging and Shift Handoff (5%) – Lead shift meeting, prepare materials for next shift, and provide a shift summary report including productivity, downtime and quality concerns via email.
- Quality Control (5%) – Verify raw materials are not expired, follow correct formulas, sample QC, adjust batches, and ensure final product meets specifications.
- Equipment & Materials (5%) – Escalate maintenance needs, shortages, failures, and required repairs.
- Leadership (25%) – Attend cross‑functional meetings, review timecards, allocate work, define responsibilities, manage and develop staff, train new members, and maintain required trainings; assess and reward performance, build team culture, and communicate updates.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years plant experience
- Ability to use math for basic weights in formulas
- Read and interpret directions and order details
- Communicate in writing and verbally
- Proficiency with plant equipment or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP system (preferably JD Edwards)
- Ability to learn new computer skills and programs
Education and Experience
Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
