Job description

BATON ROUGE: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Production Supervisor for a blending and manufacturing operation focused on the production of coatings and dry seasonings.

Essential Duties:

• Oversee and coordinate daily blending department operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production output
• Lead production teams while promoting a strong safety culture through training, safety meetings, and GMP compliance
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and management teams to ensure smooth operational workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment that supports teamwork and continuous improvement
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Utilize and maintain proficiency with SAP bar code scanning systems and related production tracking tools
• Support employee development through coaching, training, mentoring, and corrective action when necessary
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with quality standards and address material or process deficiencies
• Communicate effectively with leadership teams to support production goals and operational priorities
• Promote a team-based culture focused on accountability, engagement, and customer satisfaction

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5–8 years of production/manufacturing experience
• 2–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of production metrics, KPIs, and business measurement systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with training, scheduling, time management, and employee relations
• Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and regulations (OSHA, EPA, ADA preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout production areas for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment as needed (typically up to 50 lbs)
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
• Occasional bending, reaching, and climbing in production areas
