About the Job:
We are looking for a some one with a mechanical or machine shop background to build or assemble diverse catalog of parts and equipment used in supporting the Department of Defense.
Some examples include: starters, alternators, tank parts, survival kits and more.
Some Basic Responsibilities will include:
- Learning new process and skills per a projects requirements. (Most projects last several days to a week).
- Keeping a tidy work station.
- Following written and verbal direction.
- Working with hand tools.
- Painting.
Some Advanced Responsibilities include after training:
- Soldering.
- Product testing.
- Bridgeport and lathe operating.
- Drill press and grinders.
- Spot welding.
- Fabrication.
Preferred Skills:
- Accuracy and consistency.
- Knowledge of DC electrical components or parts (Preferred but not necessary).
- Problem solving.
- Ability to work with others.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Good communicator.
- Ability to manage time and adapt to a variety of projects.
