Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Production Specialist to support the smooth operation of production test equipment and ensure timely, quality delivery of products.

You will set up manual production test equipment, log production data, monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and perform quality inspections while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in production or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and safety regulations in manufacturing.
  • Ability to follow and process manufacturing travelers, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Basic computer skills to input, log and monitor production data.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various manual production test equipment in accordance with product specifications.
  • Accurately record production logs, including material usage, output, downtime, and quality control records.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform quality inspections at different production stages.
  • Ensure activities meet safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and optimize workflows.
  • Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operations of our production test equipment, working towards the timely and quality delivery of products. Your responsibilities will include operating manual and automatic test equipment and performing quality control checks to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely. Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues on the floor will contribute to maintaining optimal production performance. The ideal candidate should possess a solid mechanical aptitude, experience working with manual production equipment, and the ability to adhere to strict safety standards.Set up and operate various manual production test equipment in accordance with product specificationsAccurately record production logs, including material usage, output, quantity, downtime, and quality control recordsMonitor production processes to ensure efficient and effective operation where production areas are organized, clean, and safeTroubleshoot and resolve issues during production, minimizing downtime and production delaysPerform quality inspections on products during different production stagesEnsure all production activities meet safety, regulatory, and company standardsAssist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and collaborate with supervisors and team leads to optimize workflowsConduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure reliabilityParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencyWork Hours:The scheduled work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
