Job summary

Discovery Life Sciences LLC is seeking a Production Specialist in Quincy, MA to support processing, testing, and logistics of human primary cell products. On-site role, part-time with Tuesday shifts required, offering hourly pay and a dynamic lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize aseptic technique in a Biosafety Cabinet to process bulk human tissues per SOPs.
• Perform QC testing (cell counting and viability) and release for shipment.
• Manage Work Orders, Assembly Builds, Material Transfers, and Fulfillment in NetSuite.
• Maintain consumable inventory and perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments in NetSuite.
• Oversee General Lab, Facility and Equipment Maintenance (PMs, Calibrations, repairs).
• Handle controlled temperature packaging and logistics (scheduling, labeling) for couriers.
• Provide customer service and vendor management.
• Handle and dispose of biological waste.

A Day in the Life of a Production Specialist at Discovery Life Sciences:

• Complete work orders.
• Cycle count consumable inventory and make orders.
• Package and send off controlled temperature packages.
• Perform quality control testing.

Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):

Must Have:

• 2 years of paid working laboratory experience performing aseptic technique for activities definedby written SOPs
• 1 year of experience in logistics and/or material management
• Excellent time management, punctuality and reliability
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Nice-To-Have:

• Bachelors degree in Biology or other Life Science
• Excellent time management, punctuality and reliability
• Ability to work independently to achieve daily workload completion with limited/remotesupervision

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizing aseptic technique in a Biosafety Cabinet to process bulk human tissues per established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform quality control (QC) testing (cell counting and viability testing) of produced products and evaluation of tested parameters against established specifications and determining release for shipment
• Management and execution of Work Orders, Assembly Builds, Material Transfers, and Fulfillment tasks, including data recording and troubleshooting within Netsuite ERP
• Maintenance of consumable inventory (ordering, cycle counting, inventory adjustments in NetSuite, receiving, put away)
• Management of General Lab, Facility and Equipment Maintenance (Equipment PMs, Calibrations, repairs,etc.)
• Performance of controlled temperature packaging and logistics activities (scheduling, system entry, labeling) for Commercial (Fed Ex) and independent(local couriers) carriers.
• Customer service and vendor management
• Handling and disposing of biological waste
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation and Benefits:

The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience, ranging from $22- $25 per hour.
