Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Production Specialist to assemble products accurately according to design and schedules, performing tasks with minimal supervision to ensure quality. You will set up equipment, manage materials, and maintain inventory while working as part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities include repetitive line assembly, manual fitting using various tools, ensuring quotas and quality, and strict adherence to safety standards with prompt defect reporting.

• Ensure production quotas are met while maintaining quality assembly.
• Adhere to safety requirements and report defects immediately.

A Carter Lumber Production Specialist is responsible for assembling products accurately to ensure a quality product is produced. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements to be Considered for this Position:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Knowledge and expertise in the use of a variety of tools
• Ability to do repetitious work
• Must be able to work at a fast pace
• Ability to work in a team environment
• 3rd shift: 9pm-6am

Responsibilities of the Position:

Set-up:

• Reviews and analyzes work order to ensure proper materials are being provided.
• Sets up equipment and material in order to assemble product according to the design provided.
• Maintains inventory by providing an accurate count of products.

Assembly:

• Performs repetitive line assembly operations to produce a quality product.
• Manually fits and sizes products by utilizing various tools.
• Ensures that production quotas are being met while maintaining quality assembly.

Safety:

• Adheres to safety requirements by operating equipment and handling material in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Acknowledges and reports any defects or safety issues to supervisor immediately.
