Job summary

Worthington Enterprises in Closter, New Jersey is seeking Production Associates for 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm-6am) at the Chilton facility. You will operate on a fast-paced assembly line manufacturing Bernzomatic hand torches and propane cylinders, with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Possess good problem solving and troubleshooting skills and safety practices.
• Possess a high level of initiative and personal accountability.
• Ability to measure, read, write and document work.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a team environment focused on Safety, Culture, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
• Follow All Plant Safety Requirements, Company Policies, And Procedures
• Perform production operations, including assembly, testing, material handling, welding, press room, paint line, and product transfer
• Follow detailed work instructions to manufacture quality parts safely and efficiently
• Conduct quality inspections, identify defects, and address quality issues
• Maintain inventory accuracy by counting, labeling, weighing, and tracking parts and materials
• Collect and label material samples with identifying information
• Stack steel products onto pallets, boxes, or bins
• Assist with conveyor and stand placement
• Perform basic machine adjustments and repairs as needed
• Complete production paperwork and record daily production data accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist team members as needed
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, and commitment to high-quality work
• Perform other duties as assigned by the lead or supervisor
