  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and business or 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • 0-5 years of experience in production controls.
  • Verbal and written communications skills.
  • Computer software: Microsoft Office, SAP, Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Issue and track work orders and ensure materials are supplied per production schedule.
  • Expedite and prioritize work orders; coordinate daily/weekly production schedules.
  • Work with purchasing to manage the MRP for production schedules and changes.
  • Create and update work instructions; ensure safety compliance and PPE usage.
  • Be visible on the production floor and provide relief support for Area Managers when needed.

Description

Position Summary

The production control specialist is responsible for issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring that required materials are supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule.


This position is also responsible for expediting and prioritizing work orders and coordinating and managing daily, weekly production schedules.


General Qualifications

Education/Knowledge:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering and business; or a minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



  • 0-5 years of experience in production controls

  • Verbal and written communications skills.

  • Computer software: Microsoft Office, SAP, Advanced Excel

  • Production Scheduling.

  • Data Management & Analysis.

  • Problem Solving.

  • Time Management

  • Analyze customer orders and establish production schedules for timely delivery. Review change orders and execute them appropriately.

  • Work with purchasing: Order and manage the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) corresponding to the production schedules.

  • Create and update the work instructions.

  • Control man power and coating area managers.

  • Investigate production control problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions.

  • Develop positive relationship with staffs and customer to meet productivity goals

  • Provide relief support for Area Managers when required

  • Be visible to employees on Production floor in assigned work area.

  • Maintain safety compliance of all worker’s by ensuring the use of required PPE

  • Ensure compliance of all Company Policies and Procedures

  • Become proficient in performing all jobs within assigned department with the ability to “step in” when necessary.


Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Vision, hearing, and speech are required. Manual dexterity is necessary. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled.
