A Kight Home Center (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking a Production Specialist responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule. This role involves working closely with all production departments and dispatching to coordinate and track work orders from production to delivery. The candidate will analyze work orders and communicate results to the Production Manager. A strong belief in the company's mission and goals is essential.

Requirements

• Previous coordinating experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements
• Understanding of the production of roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, etc.
• Scheduling and shipping methods
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Pay: $18/hr

Responsibilities

Scheduling

• Coordinate and create production schedules for trusses, wall panels, etc. Pass work order information to the Production Manager.

Work Orders

• Ensure all work orders are accurately documented and completed. Review and analyze work orders, providing recommendations to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. Communicate schedules to the Production Manager.

Safety

• Ensure safety standards are met during production. Properly use and maintain all machines and equipment.
