About The Role

Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers during the weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Release work orders from Programming and the Director of Metals Manufacturing to the production floor.
• Coordinate with the Director and Customer Account Managers regarding production issues affecting quality and delivery.
• Maintain production and time records.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, assisting workers as needed.
• Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, and quality.
• Study schedules and estimate worker hours for jobs.
• Promote teamwork and cross-shift collaboration to enhance performance.
• Support department leads to meet goals through motivation and guidance.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines with a positive attitude.

Requirements / Skills

Education and Experience

• AA degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
• 5 years in manufacturing production.
• 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.

Knowledge / Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Blueprint reading proficiency.
• Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Computer skills for document and spreadsheet creation.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
