Job summary

Delta Personnel Staffing is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for Blown Film Extrusion (D Shift) in Piscataway, NJ. This role oversees manufacturing operations, leads production staff, and ensures quality and safety standards are met across the shift.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year in blown film extrusion or similar environment, strong leadership, and the ability to analyze production data to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in blown film extrusion or similar manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of extrusion processes, materials, and equipment.
• Knowledge of blown film extrusion machinery, polymer properties, and film characteristics.
• Familiarity with extrusion machinery including blowers, dies, and chillers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on extrusion equipment.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and testing methods.
• Experience with SPC and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the entire production operation, including shifts, lines, and related functions.
• Lead, train, and develop production line employees.
• Manage scheduling of hourly production personnel.
• Monitor production metrics and provide timely reports to management.
• Review IFS Quick Reports and other production documentation.
• Maintain standards for resin blends, line changes, and operating procedures.
• Ensure byproducts are recorded in the IFS system.
• Enforce safe operating practices and safety procedures.
• Conduct initial workplace accident investigations and report injuries.
• Assist with safety meetings and employee training.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operated according to GMP practices.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment and facility upkeep.
• Maintain production, compliance, and process records.
• Ensure quality products are consistently produced.
• Coordinate with transportation for on-time delivery.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Operate with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
