Job summary

Charter Casting in Shawano, WI, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift in the Core Department to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will coach and develop production staff, manage workflow, coordinate with maintenance and quality teams, and ensure production goals are met while fostering a positive, accountable work culture.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities.
  • Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and shifts.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
  • Address production challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.

Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift (Core Department) Charter Casting | Shawano, WI

What You'll Do
Leadership & Employee Development
  • Lead and develop production employees through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.

Operations & Production

Continuous Improvement & Safety
  • Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

  • Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments.
  • Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or related certification.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
