Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Operations, Business Management, Agriculture, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all plant production and processing activities to achieve safety, quality, yield, and efficiency objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team members to enhance daily performance and prepare them for growth.
• Administer policies and procedures to maintain high standards for safety, food safety, quality, and employee relations.
• Develop and implement operational goals, budgets, and departmental objectives.
• Conduct leadership meetings to communicate priorities and review performance metrics.
• Collaborate with USDA representatives and internal support departments for regulatory compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor production processes, SOPs, and control plans to meet customer and company requirements.

Production Shift Manager

In this key leadership role, you'll oversee and coordinate all production operations on night shift within our Cold Spring, MN facility. You'll be responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, food safety, employee engagement, and operational efficiency. Working closely with department leaders and support teams, you'll direct plant processing activities, develop team members, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all plant production and processing activities to achieve safety, quality, yield, and efficiency objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team members to enhance daily performance and prepare them for future growth opportunities.
• Administer company policies and procedures consistently to maintain high standards for safety, food safety, quality, and employee relations.
• Develop and implement operational goals, objectives, and departmental budgets to support business performance.
• Conduct regular leadership meetings to communicate priorities, review performance metrics, and provide direction and feedback.
• Collaborate with USDA representatives and internal support departments to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvement opportunities that increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor and manage production processes, standard operating procedures, and control plans to ensure customer and company requirements are met.
• Oversee employee performance management, including coaching, evaluations, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in projects that drive operational success.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support Plant Operations and overall business objectives.

What You'll Need

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Management, Agriculture, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent management experience may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or related environment. Poultry or food industry experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team development abilities; effective verbal and written communication skills; project management experience; analytical and problem-solving capabilities; financial and operational acumen; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
