Job summary

White Cap is seeking a hands-on supervisor to oversee daily shift operations on the production floor, working closely with machine operators and staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment, and to secure the facility at shift end.

You will supervise, coach, and enforce safety rules, coordinate shift changeovers, review production data, and train staff as needed. The role requires readiness to respond to emergencies during off-hours.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Technical certification or associate degree may be required.
• Strong safety culture and OSHA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise machine operators and production staff to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations on the production floor.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching or corrective action as needed to maintain high standards.
• Coordinate shift changeovers and ensure accurate communication with 1st and 3rd shift leadership.
• Perform regular floor checks to verify equipment is functioning properly and operators follow procedures.
• Assist in training new employees and cross-training current staff as needed.
• Respond to equipment malfunctions or safety issues and escalate appropriately.
• Complete shift reports and ensure accurate documentation of production data.
• Lock and secure the facility at the end of the shift and verify safety.
